Ronald Marsh Jr.
Whether it be a merger, acquisition, or a simple new process; organizations are constantly changing and adopting new methods. HR leaders can help manage change through informed decision making backed by data and analytics.
A True Guru
Ronald began his career with Charter Communications as a contract employee to assist with Recruiting Operations/Talent Acquisition. His drive and motivation to develop the knowledge and skills needed paid off, and led to a full-time job offer to manage HR Reporting and Analytics within his first 90 days.
Every day, he works to find new and effective ways to extract data and generate reports for 9 different business units. All of his hard work provides team leaders with the necessary information they need to make decisions and better understand trends with transactions, leave of absences, onboarding, background checks, and reporting.
Even though Ronald may seem like he is buried deep in data, he continues to grow his network and skills by engaging with other team members to grasp a better understanding of the specific business challenges each unit might be enduring. Listening to team members helps build Ronald’s working knowledge so he can then provide leaders with the relevant data and reports they need on their unit, people, and processes.
Ronald also serves as VP of Public Affairs for the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources - Charlotte, NC Chapter.
Ronald’s best piece of advice that he has to offer other HR leaders is to always keep an open mind. You may not agree with something at first, but by exchanging knowledge and utilizing team members’ skillsets, your entire team and organization can streamline processes and achieve greatness.
